WEEK 12 SMASH SPOTS & LANDMINES

Hey, Movers!

Below, I highlight the best and worst matchups by position for Week 12.

Each chart will highlight each team’s fantasy points per game scored at the position on the x-axis, and their Week 12 opponent’s fantasy points per game allowed to the position on the y-axis. Basically, you want your player's team logo to be high on the y-axis of this chart, indicating a favorable Week 12 matchup.

Below each chart, I highlight ā€œSmash Spotsā€, aka good matchups, and ā€œLandminesā€, or bad matchups, for relevant players at the position. Next to each player’s name is the percentage of Yahoo fantasy leagues in which their manager is starting them this week. I tried to focus on ā€œfringeā€ starters that fall somewhere between 30 and 70% started.

You will notice I covered players like Josh Allen (96% started, bad matchup) and Trey McBride (98% started, good matchup). Obviously, you’re starting those guys regardless of matchup. However, I listed those ā€œlineup locksā€ in italics so that you can be aware of an awesome matchup they have, or so you can temper expectations in a tough spot.

While I do call players ā€œstartsā€ and ā€œsitsā€ to make my content as actionable as possible, everything is contextual in fantasy football and is entirely dependent on your roster. You can absolutely start Jauan Jennings (listed as a ā€œSitā€) this week, for example, if he’s your best option.

Rather, my goal is to provide you with useful matchup information that can be utilized for start/sit decisions, potential flex plays, or just to get an idea of how your guys might perform this week.

All data below comes from FantasyPoints. Without further ado…
