📈 26 Players To Start for Week 8
it's a good week for streaming QB

MOVES GLOSSARY
Hey, Movers!
It’s a good week for streaming QB, as there are a few soft matchups for guys on most waiver wires. I hope the charts and “starts” below help you make some of those difficult lineup decisions for Week 8.
As always, here are some of the terms you need to know for today’s writeup:
Implied Team Total - projected point totals for each team based on NFL odds
Opponent FP/G Allowed - opponent fantasy points per game allowed to the position, per FantasyPoints and FantasyPros
% Rostered - Percentage of Yahoo leagues player is rostered in. I’m covering players rostered in 95% or fewer of Yahoo leagues, basically leaving out the weekly matchup-proof roster locks such as Josh Allen, Gibbs, Puka, Bowers, etc. Some of the players covered here will be obvious starts, while some will only be applicable to those who desperately need to fill a roster spot.
Note: I’ve watched every play in every game for each player I wrote about below. While I’m a data nerd at heart, I’ve found that watching the film allows me to pick up on certain sequences, momentum, and honestly, vibes, that the data can’t capture. This helps to provide a complete picture of a player’s performance rather than simply leaning on box score or even advanced stats alone.
All data in this post comes from FantasyPoints Data unless otherwise noted.

Your K-Cup Has Been Sitting in a Warehouse for Months
That grocery store pod? It was roasted long before it hit the shelf. Coffee starts losing flavor within weeks of roasting — which is why your morning cup tastes flat, no matter how nice your machine is.
Angelino's does it differently. A third-generation roaster in Los Angeles, they roast, grind, and seal every pod in-house for peak freshness, then ship it to your door within days of roasting. The difference is the first thing you'll notice: real aroma, real flavor, no bitterness.
Mix and match from 50+ specialty coffees, teas, and flavored blends — all Keurig®-compatible — and save more with every box you add, up to 34% off at 12+. Order once whenever you're running low, or subscribe for an extra 5% if that's easier. Entirely up to you.

QUARTERBACKS

QUARTERBACKS
Starts
Kyler Murray (67% rostered) vs. Lions: best matchup for QBs by FP/G allowed, t-8th-lowest implied team total. Lions allowing most passing yards per game in league (312.3). Tyler Shough, Jacoby Brissett, and Geno Smith all scored over 26 fantasy points against Detroit. Kyler has played better than public perception IMO, but the overall production hasn’t been there with Minnesota’s defense playing so well. Hoping Detroit’s offense forces the Vikings into a pass-happier gamescript than they’ve had so far.
Jacoby Brissett (44% rostered) vs. Cowboys: 9th-best matchup for QBs, 11th-highest implied team total. Cowboys allowing 3rd-highest passer rating in league (105.8). Brissett is your classic spot start streamer who has shown the ability to post usable fantasy weeks in plus matchups.
Sam Darnold (39% rostered) vs. Bears: 8th-best matchup for QBs, 9th-highest implied team total. Darnold has been a bad fantasy QB for the last month, but had 4 straight bottom-10 QB matchups. His outlook is much better against Chicago, though I’m still not thrilled to start him. He’s really just a streaming option for QB-needy teams.
Geno Smith (20% rostered) vs. Raiders: 5th-best matchup for QBs, t-12th-highest implied team total. Raiders allowing 5th-highest passer rating (103.7). Geno is coming off a 24.5-point week and gets another plus matchup against the Raiders. Omar Cooper Jr.’s explosiveness has added a bit more juice to this passing attack.

RUNNING BACKS

RUNNING BACKS
Starts
Josh Jacobs (95% rostered) vs. Panthers : 2nd-best matchup for RBs by FP/G allowed, 7th-highest implied team total. Panthers allowing highest yards per carry to RBs (5.21) and most RB rushing yards per game (126.8). Tampa Bay ran all over Carolina last week to the tune of 246 RB rushing yards and 3 RB rushing TDs. The Packers’ ground game is virtually non-existent, but the matchup is just about as good as it gets and Jacobs saw 7 targets in the passing game last week.
Rachaad White (76% rostered) vs. Eagles: 16th-worst matchup for RBs, 14th-highest implied team total. Eagles surrendering the 4th-most RB rushing yards per game (116.3). Javonte Williams ran for 155 yards and a TD last week against the Eagles after Chuba Hubbard ran for 120 and a TD on them in Week 6. With Jacory Croskey-Merritt on IR, White is slated to lead Washington’s RB committee. This matchup favors the ground game more than White’s involvement in the passing game (where he is best utilized), but he’s still startable given he should see decent volume in a winnable matchup.
Hail Mary: Elijah Mitchell (2% rostered) vs. Commanders: 7th-worst matchup for RBs, lowest implied team total. Saquon hasn’t practiced this week due to hamstring and back injuries, and I doubt the Eagles are in any rush to get him back out there in a lost season. Elijah Mitchell figures to be the next, next, next, next man up, so desperate managers can throw him in their lineups if Saquon doesn’t play and hope he’s able to fall into the end zone.

WIDE RECEIVERS

WIDE RECEIVERS
Starts
Emeka Egbuka (94% rostered) vs. Falcons: 11th-best matchup for WRs by FP/G allowed, 12th-highest implied team total. Falcons giving up the 5th-most receptions per game to WRs (13.7). It appears that Egbuka is trending towards playing this week, and he finds himself in a nice matchup with a healthy Baker Mayfield. Between Jalon Daniels starting a few games and the Bucs not needing to throw at all in Week 7, their offense hasn’t had much “normalcy”, but this game feels like an opportunity for their passing game to get back on track.
Michael Wilson (94% rostered) vs. Cowboys: 10th-best matchup for WRs, 11th-highest implied team total. Wilson has been relatively quiet for the last few weeks, but the Cowboys present a nice bounce-back opportunity.
D.J. Moore (93% rostered) vs. Ravens: 6th-best matchup for WRs, 2nd-highest implied team total. Ravens giving up the 5th most receiving yards per game to WRs (181.6) and 4th-highest yards per target to WRs (9.63). Tee Higgins put up 6-148-1 on the Ravens last week. If he’s able to play this week (he’s practicing in a non-contact jersey today), Moore finds himself in an awesome, awesome matchup. I thought he looked really good when healthy.
Jalen Coker (92% rostered) vs. Packers: 7th-best matchup for WRs, t-16th-highest implied team total. Packers giving up the 2nd-most receptions per game to WRs (14.1). Jameson Williams and Amon-Ra St. Brown combined for 244 receiving yards and 2 TDs against the Pack last week. Panthers got absolutely thumped last week, but I expect their passing attack to get back on track here in a plus matchup.
Stefon Diggs (88% rostered) vs. Eagles: 2nd-best matchup for WRs, 14th-highest implied team total. Eagles surrendering the 4th-most receiving yards per game to WRs (185.3). Terry McLaurin is out for the year, and Diggs figures to see a bump in target volume as a result.
Keenan Allen (52% rostered) vs. Jaguars: 5th-best matchup for WRs, 5th-lowest implied team total. Jags are giving up the most receiving yards per game to WRs (210.0). This is a really gross play and I’m not excited about it, and I hope you have other options. The Colts have officially entered fire sale/tank mode and this offense is incredibly unexciting moving forward. That being said, the matchup is a good one for Allen, sigh…
Makai Lemon (44% rostered) vs. Commanders: 8th-best matchup for WRs, lowest implied team total. DeVonta Smith (hamstring) still isn’t practicing as of today, and like Barkley, the Eagles won’t rush him back in a lost season. Dontayvion Wicks is also trending towards missing another game. That leaves Lemon, who is coming off a season/career-high 19.7 fantasy points, to lead Philly’s WR corps against Washington, and he’s shown some nice chemistry with Tanner McKee.

TIGHT ENDS

TIGHT ENDS
Starts
Dallas Goedert (88% rostered) vs. Commanders: 2nd-best matchup for TEs by FP/G allowed, lowest implied team total. Commanders giving up the 5th-most TE receiving yards per game (73.5) and 2nd-most receiving TDs per game (1.3) to TEs. Goedert is a solid play here in a plus matchup, as he’s averaging 7.5 targets per game in Tanner McKee’s two starts.
T.J. Hockenson (69% rostered) vs. Lions: best matchup for TEs, t-8th-lowest implied team total. Lions surrendering the most receptions (9.3), receiving yards (100.3), and receiving TDs (1.7) per game to TEs. Detroit is the ultimate TE smash spot, and Kyler likes targeting Hockenson.
Hunter Henry (67% rostered) vs. Dolphins: 3rd-best matchup for TEs, t-7th-highest implied team total. Dolphins giving up 4th-most receptions (7.3), receiving yards (74.7), and receiving TDs (1.0) per game to TEs. Mason Taylor went 5-62-2 against Miami last week, and T.J. Hockenson caught 13 of 13 targets for 119 yards against them in Week 4. New England featured their TEs heavily in Week 7 and may do so again in Week 8 with A.J. Brown’s status suddenly up in the air due to a new knee injury.
Brenton Strange (60% rostered) vs. Colts: 14th-best matchup for TEs, 4th-highest implied team total. Strange is your classic high floor TE streamer play, and you can roll him out there here in a winnable matchup.
Hail Mary: A.J. Barner (10% rostered) vs. Bears: 16th-best matchup for TEs, 9th-highest implied team total. Hunter Henry and Eli Raridon combined for 10-127-1 against Chicago last week, and Barner quietly logged a season-high 83.3% route share last week with Elijah Arroyo done for the season.
